Supplies for Doublette Japanese Ranunculus

February's Relax and Create project is sponsored by Carol Jackson of Petals and Pearls Design.

You can find most of these supplies in her online shop.

Outcomes vary by materials, have fun playing with what you have on hand.

From left to right:

  1. Doublette folds in various shades (light and dark, ranunc hues)
  2. Set 2 Dr. Ph. Martins Liquid Watercolors
  3. Chikamasa wire cutting scissors and craft scissors
  4. Cotton swabs
  5. Heavy floristic crepe in Grass Green
  6. 18 g cloth covered stem wires (shown: eight)
  7. Wood glue with grit
  8. Clear school glue
  9. Rubbing alcohol

Not shown: water, bowls and plates, copy or construction paper for petals.

Outcomes:

I use a very specific formula for the petals using cut doublette, and handpaint each one using multiple processes to achieve a shiny petal for my take on Japanese ranunculus. You will be able to make these at home yourself after watching my prep and Live instructional videos.
