Artist Statement & Course Brief

I am innately very curious in nature. I enjoy observing my surroundings, my environment, extremely vividly. My artistic practice is about capturing and expressing the beautiful objects in the natural world. Through my artwork, I try to bring the outside in as I always believe being outside is good for the soul. I aim to create artwork that reminds us to slow down and helps us reconnect with nature.

I am constantly learning new techniques, exploring colours, shapes and exploring further possibilities with paper. To me, paper is a fantastic material; I can manipulate it into any form that I desire. Literally, there are no limits.

In this course you will learn to create (1) botanically realistic paper pear branch sculpture with pears, blooms and leaves. Besides the video instruction, you will also find a supply list and detailed printable step-by-step guide to assist you in completing this beautiful artwork.

I hope you enjoy the process and learn the techniques that I share. With the skills learned from this tutorial, you will be able to explore many other fruits easily. Have fun creating!
