Venezuelan artist Maria Elena Gomez lives in Portugal where she designs large paper flowers for events and photoshoots. Amity Libby lives in Maine, USA and creates learning experiences for artists. They met in the 1990s in Valencia, Venezuela and began collaborating with paper flowers in 2019. Together they presented the paper flower 'Tess' in-person as a master class in 2024.
